We had the opportunity to do BAFA (Brevet d’Aptitude aux Fonctions d’Animateur) training so that we could better serve the churches in France. In France you have to have a certain number of certified camp counselors to be able to run your camp. So we had an 8 day intense training on what it means to work with kids, teaching them games, songs and learning about the rules and regulation. You can get your BAFA starting at age 17, so most in the training were of that age. This side of France (Camp work) is a side that was unknown to us. We wer fortunate enough to have Carole, as the director of the training. She is a Christian working with the Baptists in France. The week was good and we were able to have good conversations with some of those attending. We hope to have continued contact with some of them like Nicholas and Clement.
