Nichole’s Snowflake Sugar Cookies
4 dozen cookies
1 cup butter
1 ½ cup (300g) sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp lemon
4 cups (700g) flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 pinch salt
In a large bowl cream together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs. Stir in vanilla and lemon. Combine remaining ingredients and gradually blend into mixture. Let stand overnight refrigerated.
Preheat oven to 400°F / 200°C
Cut out on a HEAVILY floured surface.
Bake 10 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Glaze : Whisk powdered sugar together with milk. Pipe onto cooled cookies.
