This year we challenged our community to put others above themselves. Especially when upgrading their electronics. All around us people are constantly ordering new cellphones and new computers while their older models still work.
A friend in our church had an old MacBookAir lying around the attic collecting dust. I initiated the conversation suggesting that she try to sell it or give it away. When she found out how much she could get by selling it second-hand she immediately decided the small return was not worth the hassel and decided to donate it to charity. Today it is helping a french family stay in contact with their team mates abroad and bringing light to the world!
Yeah to practical donations that warm our hearts and bring us closer together.
